Most people feel safe and comfortable at home. For these reasons, most hospice care is done at home. Home hospice patients often have a better quality of life. Patients receive high-quality, compassionate care from a diverse team of professionals that includes a physician, nurse, social worker, chaplain, bereavement counselor, hospice aide, and volunteers. Many other components of hospice care will quickly fall into place:
Necessary home medical equipment will be delivered, usually within the first 24 to 48 hours.
Medications related to the life-limiting diagnosis will be delivered to the home.
Individual members of the team will coordinate and schedule regular visits. Some will visit daily, while others will visit weekly when requested or as needed.
You will receive information about how to manage symptoms and how to contact INS if you have a question, if you require acute care, if there’s a crisis, or if you need to see a member of the team. We are blessed and grateful to be part of each patient’s journey and treat them with the highest respect.
You and your loved ones deserve the best hospice care can provide. Please let us know if there is any way we can offer our assistance by sending us a message or calling us at 678-806-5900.
